Trainers

I started of by taking a photo of a trainer using my new digital camera.
In photoshop I created a path around the trainer which was converted to a selection.
I inverted the section and feathered it. I removed the background. The Chessboard was created
in Illustrator 10. I brought the chessboard into photoshop, where I used a filter to give it a glass look.
I then added the trainer. I duplicated the trainer. I used "Gaussian blur" on the back trainer.
The ray of light was done using another filter. The shadow of the trainers was created by making
a selection of the trainer using the magic wand.In a new layer I filled the selection
with a grey. I used gaussian blur on the fill and set that layer to "multiply". I distorted the shape
of the shadow by using Edit/Transform/Distort.
